A major focus for Geobank 2018 has been usability, essentially trying to make the user’s job easier. The Geobank team gathered feedback from our global client base on what they would like to see in the release.
Enhancements have been made to the Reloading Objects function and we have been able to reduce the number of clicks needed to reload Geobank objects that are already open. It is these small changes that make Geobank 2018 so much easier to use.
Previously when users wanted to change the substitution parameters in an open object they had to: close the object, find and re-execute the object, enter the new substitution parameters and click OK. It was frustrating when you simply wished to view a different Project in a Downhole Geology Log, or Data View.
Additionally, you can now reload a Graphic Report completely based on changes made to the design by yourself or the DBA.
Fewer clicks are going to save you time. Look for these icons in Geobank 2018.
Reload Completely: This enables you to reload the entire object. This is particularly useful when you wish to view changes that have been made to the design of a Graphic Report.
Reload Substitution: Use this when you only wish to change Substitution Parameters. This allows users to rapidly toggle through different filters, such as Project or Site_ID. Being able to navigate through your Graphic Reports faster, makes it easier to visually validate data and recognise patterns.
